After breakfast in your riad, you will leave Marrakech and travel to Dades Valley. The tour takes you across the High Atlas Mountains via the pass of Tizi n’ Tichka which, at its highest point, is 2260m above sea level. We have some stops to take in and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the mountains.

We then travel to the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, which is the oldest and largest in Morocco and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have ample time to explore and have lunch in the Kasbah.

The journey continues to Ouarzazate “the African Hollywood” where we will visit a movie studio for some photo opportunities. The next stop on your Desert Tour is the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Museum of Cinema. The trip continues to the Valley of Roses and Kalaat M’Gouna which is known for its annual festival during the rose harvest in May. We then drive to your hotel in Dades Valley for your overnight stay.

After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive back through the valley towards the Sahara Desert.

The first stop will be the amazing rock formation “the monkey toes”, and the 19th century Kasbah of Ait Yul.

Your tour takes you via Tinghir and the Todra Valley, affording panoramic views of the old mud Berber villages overlooking the valley.

On arrival at the Gorge, you will walk under the 300m high red cliffs where many rock climbers come to test their skills. We continue our journey via Erfoud, Tinjdad, Malaab, and Tourog.

In the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara Desert where, if you wish, you may ride camels to the camp, stopping on the way to enjoy the beauty of the sunset across the dunes.

In the evening, you will relax in the desert with Berber music and be mesmerized by a star-filled sky. Overnight in the Desert Camp.

An early rise this morning to watch the beautiful sunrise over the Sahara. Afterward, you’ll return by camel for breakfast and a shower in your desert tent. En route you will appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes, changing with the light as the day progresses. The journey continues towards Fes to Errachidia, along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock.

After Ziz Valley, we travel through the Middle Atlas mountains  “Tizi Ntalghamt Pass, stopping in Midelt or Zaida for lunch. In the afternoon, the route takes in the Cedar Forest where you’ll see the interesting and mischievous Barbary Apes, and on to Ifrane, “the French Alpine Village” where we stop for photos and refreshments.

We then pass Imouzzer Kandar, the last city before we arrive at Fes. Overnight in Fes.
